Quick, simple, and refreshing: Greek salad is the perfect summer dish with a rich flavor
We admit it: we love steaks, potatoes, pasta, barbecue, sauces... But when temperatures exceed 30 degrees, we gladly opt for lighter meals. Even more so if the preparation is quick and simple, as is the case with refreshing Greek salad.
Greek salad is an ideal summer dish with a rich flavor, and for it, you will need the following ingredients: 1 head of lettuce or arugula, red radicchio, shelled walnuts, 2 cucumbers, 3 tomatoes, 300 grams of feta cheese, 1.5 deciliters of olive oil, 1 bell pepper (or half green and half red bell pepper), oregano, basil leaves, 100 grams of black and red olives, 1 small head of onion. Additionally, Greek salad usually includes salt, pepper, and lemon juice or balsamic vinegar, and you can season it to your taste.
The preparation is very simple. All you need to do is follow a few easy steps:
1. Arrange the lettuce and radicchio leaves at the bottom and around the edges of the bowl.
2. Add the diced cucumbers, bell pepper, onion, and tomatoes to the bowl.
3. Add the olives and feta cheese, mix well, and let it sit for about 15 minutes.
4. After 15 minutes, add olive oil, oregano, and basil.
5. Chill, and before serving, optionally add salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar.
